Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed all development authorities in Uttarakhand to create Illegal Construction Monitoring Dashboards for real-time tracking of unauthorised construction, from identification to demolition.
Real-Time Illegal Construction Monitoring
The dashboards will track inspections, notices, sealing and demolition. Authorities will use GIS, satellite imagery and drones to identify illegal construction at an early stage. Strict action will follow if officials are found involved in collusion.
Dhami also ordered clear deadlines and officer accountability for master plans, development projects, civic facilities, parking, housing and beautification works.

Beautification and Better Roads
Beautification work across development authority areas will begin this month and must be completed by October 15. The quality should match the standards seen during the G20 Summit.
Roads under development authorities must also be improved immediately, with no compromise on quality.
City Parks and Pink Toilets
City parks and pink toilets will be mandatory in all cities. Pink toilets will also be developed in urban, semi-urban and rural areas wherever required. The government aims to achieve around 70% of the target by the next review meeting.
Officials must also submit district-wise lists of SC, ST and BPL families benefiting from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to the CM Office within 15 days.
Citizen-Friendly Services and Land Pooling
Development authority websites will be made more citizen-friendly, providing easy access to information on schemes, map approvals, fees, rules and services.
A pilot land pooling plan will also be prepared for two or three development authority areas, with a transparent model outlining benefits for farmers and landowners.
Dhami stressed that development authorities must also focus on civic facilities in rural and semi-urban areas under their jurisdiction.
