Meerut: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called on BJP workers to strengthen the party organisation at the booth level while highlighting the state government’s development, investment and employment initiatives.
Addressing a conference of Shakti Kendra conveners from western Uttar Pradesh in Meerut, Adityanath said workers should prioritise the organisation and the nation over individual interests.
He said, “The individual is bigger than the party, and the nation is bigger than the party,” and urged workers to work with a “nation first” approach.
The Chief Minister asked party workers to review every booth, build effective teams, assign responsibilities to panna pramukhs and map families to ensure outreach to individual households.
Yogi Highlights Development in Western UP
Adityanath cited expressways, the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, medical colleges, industrial projects and the sports university in Meerut while describing changes in western Uttar Pradesh.

He also referred to local products such as Meerut’s rewdi, Hapur’s papad and Muzaffarnagar’s jaggery, saying branding and promotion of such products could expand employment and business opportunities.
He urged workers to tell younger generations about the changes that have taken place in the region during their time, referring to infrastructure projects and the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The Chief Minister also called for recognising historical figures as national figures rather than associating them exclusively with particular communities or castes. He cited Kotwal Dhan Singh Gurjar, Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Guru Gobind Singh and Durga Bhabhi in this context.
UP International Trade Show to Showcase State Products
In a separate message ahead of the fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show, Adityanath said the event would be held from September 25 to 29 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida.
The trade show, launched in 2023, is aimed at providing a global platform for products made by artisans, producers and entrepreneurs from Uttar Pradesh.
According to Adityanath, the state has moved beyond being known primarily for its large market and workforce and is increasingly presenting the skills of its youth, artisans, craftsmen and entrepreneurs at global platforms.
CM Cites MSME, ODOP Employment Figures
Adityanath said employment generation was among the government’s priorities when it assumed office and claimed that more than four crore jobs had been created through initiatives including the MSME sector and the One District One Product (ODOP) programme.
He also mentioned the recently introduced One District One Cuisine (ODOC) initiative.
The Chief Minister said Uttar Pradesh’s manufacturing sector has a contribution of more than ₹2 lakh crore and claimed that ₹15 lakh crore worth of investment has already been implemented in the state.
He said investment and manufacturing activity create employment opportunities, particularly for young people.
Focus on Entrepreneurship and Startups
Adityanath said the government wants young people to become job creators rather than only job seekers. He cited the Startup Policy-2026 and Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana as initiatives intended to support innovation, skill development, product development and market access.
He urged young people, students, innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs to visit the trade show, explore new markets and establish business contacts.
Adityanath said local ideas and small initiatives could eventually develop into larger enterprises and linked such efforts with Uttar Pradesh’s stated goal of becoming a trillion-dollar economy and achieving the vision of a developed Uttar Pradesh.
