MP CM Invites Dubai Investors, Says 900 Laws and 2,700 Rules Scrapped to Ease Business

Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav invited UAE investors to the state, highlighting regulatory reforms, investment incentives and opportunities in mining, logistics and tourism.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has invited investors from the UAE to explore opportunities in the state, highlighting regulatory reforms, investment incentives and prospects in mining, logistics and tourism at the AIM Congress 2026 in Dubai.

Addressing an “Interactive Session on Invest in Madhya Pradesh” on the third day of the event, Yadav said the state had removed more than 2,700 rules and around 900 laws to simplify procedures for industry and business. He added that investors could be offered necessary policy relaxations where required, within the framework of the state’s investment policies.

The Chief Minister also invited industrialists and investors to attend the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2027 in Madhya Pradesh.

Mining, Energy and Hospitality Highlighted

Yadav presented Madhya Pradesh as a state with opportunities across several sectors, particularly mining.

He highlighted the availability of mineral resources including:

  • Diamonds
  • Gold
  • Copper
  • Manganese
  • Limestone

The Chief Minister referred to gold mining opportunities in Katni and Singrauli and encouraged investors to consider the state’s mining sector.

He also highlighted incentives available to the hospitality sector, stating that the state offers capital subsidies of up to 30% for hotel investments.

Focus on Connectivity and Green Energy

Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s connectivity and energy infrastructure while pitching the state to investors.

He said direct air connectivity between Madhya Pradesh and the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, is available and that the state government is providing viability gap funding (VGF) for flights. He also said an air service connecting the state with Sharjah is scheduled to begin the following month.

The Chief Minister further highlighted the state’s efforts to promote green energy and referred to the availability of electricity at competitive rates.

Investment Proposals and Industrial Infrastructure

Yadav said investment proposals worth around ₹15 lakh crore have begun taking shape in Madhya Pradesh.

He also highlighted the state’s export performance, saying exports have crossed ₹76,000 crore.

Among the other facilities highlighted were:

  • Land allocation for industrial units within 29 days, according to the state government.
  • A large industrial land bank.
  • A road network of more than 5 lakh km.
  • An emphasis on on-the-spot land allotment for investors.
  • Measures aimed at providing time-bound clearances and services.

Logistics Policy Offers Investment Incentives

Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Neeraj Mandloi presented the state’s investment opportunities to participants.

He highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s connectivity, industrial ecosystem and investment policies, with particular emphasis on logistics, mining and tourism.

Under the Logistics Policy 2025, investors are eligible for several incentives, including assistance of up to 30% of fixed capital investment, according to the presentation.

Opportunities linked to multimodal logistics parks, the Narmada Expressway and the Delhi-Nagpur Industrial Corridor were also presented.

Tourism Emerges as Another Investment Area

The state government also pitched tourism as a major investment opportunity, citing Madhya Pradesh’s heritage sites, wildlife and natural attractions.

According to the presentation, 13.41 crore tourists visited Madhya Pradesh in 2024

The Tourism Policy 2025 provides incentives including:

  • Capital subsidy of up to 30% for eligible investments.
  • Reimbursement of stamp duty.
  • Lease arrangements of up to 90 years.
  • Opportunities for private investment at tourism destinations.

India-UAE Partnership Highlighted

India’s Consul General in Dubai, Dr E. Vishnuvaradhan Reddy, highlighted the strengthening strategic partnership between India and the UAE.

He also praised the Madhya Pradesh government’s engagement with industry and its efforts to present the state as an investment destination.

Industry representatives participating in the session also spoke about Madhya Pradesh’s investment potential and the government’s engagement with investors.
