Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday flagged off four state-of-the-art ambulances provided under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of HDFC Bank, aimed at strengthening healthcare services in remote and mountainous regions of the state.

Boost to Healthcare in Remote and Hilly Regions

The initiative is expected to significantly improve emergency medical response in Uttarakhand’s difficult terrain. The ambulances are designed to provide timely medical assistance to patients in far-flung areas where healthcare access is limited.

The Chief Minister said the government is continuously working to ensure quality healthcare reaches every citizen, including those living in remote locations.

This integrated support system is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted emergency healthcare services.

Deployment in Key Districts

In the initial phase, the four ambulances will be deployed in the districts of:

  • Rudraprayag

These vehicles will also be utilized during major religious events and disaster management operations across the state in the future.

CM Dhami Appreciates CSR Effort

Pushkar Singh Dhami praised the CSR initiative, calling it an excellent example of corporate social responsibility. He said such collaborations play a vital role in strengthening public services, especially in health emergencies and disaster situations.

He also encouraged HDFC Bank to provide additional ambulances for other Himalayan districts and for upcoming major events like the Haridwar Kumbh.

Government Focus on Public-Private Collaboration

The Chief Minister emphasized that Uttarakhand is committed to enhancing healthcare infrastructure through public-private partnerships and community participation. He said such initiatives are crucial for ensuring timely and effective medical services in challenging regions.
