CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Pushes Accelerated Development in Uttarakhand, Sets June 15 Deadline to Fast-Track Pending Projects 

Uttarakhand CM orders immediate action on government announcements, warns of strict accountability, and calls for faster execution of development works across constituencies

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed strong displeasure at officials during a high-level review meeting on government announcements held at the Secretariat. He criticized officers for attending without proper preparation and warned that such negligence would not be tolerated in the future.

The Chief Minister emphasized that review meetings on government announcements are of utmost importance and directed all Officials to come fully prepared with accurate and updated data.

Strict Deadline: Orders and Implementation by June 15

CM Dhami issued clear instructions that all pending announcements must have their Government Orders (GOs) issued by June 15, and execution of approved projects must begin immediately.

He also announced that:

  • A follow-up review meeting will be conducted before June 15
  • Departments must submit detailed progress reports, including completed and pending announcements
  • Any unnecessary delay at any level will invite strict action

Coordination Failure Delaying Development Works

The Chief Minister expressed concern over the lack of coordination between departments and officials, stating that poor communication is causing unnecessary delays in development projects.

He instructed all secretaries to:

  • Reassess announcements related to their respective Assembly Constituencies
  • Ensure better inter-departmental coordination
  • Resolve issues at the appropriate level without escalating unnecessarily

Warning Over Missing Foundation Plaques

CM Dhami also raised the issue of missing foundation plaques at project sites, despite work having started in several locations.

He directed that:

  • Plaques must be installed at all project sites
  • District Magistrates will be held accountable for non-compliance

Focus on District-Level Efficiency

Highlighting inefficiencies in district administration, the Chief Minister said that issues which can be resolved at the district level should not be unnecessarily escalated to the state government.

He stressed:

  • Immediate resolution of pending matters at the appropriate administrative level
  • Accountability at every stage of implementation

Region-Wise Review of Development Announcements

Someshwar Constituency (90 Announcements)

A detailed review revealed that many projects have received approvals and are progressing. CM Dhami instructed officials to accelerate pending work in:

  • Drinking water
  • Irrigation
  • Healthcare
  • Education
  • Energy
  • Agriculture

Salt Constituency (69 Announcements)

Several projects have already been initiated. The CM directed faster progress in departments such as:

  • Rural development
  • Tourism
  • Public Works
  • Urban development
  • Healthcare and education

Ranikhet Constituency (33 Announcements)

The Chief Minister emphasized that projects related to:

  • Roads
  • Tourism
  • Irrigation
  • Sports and infrastructure

must be completed on priority as they play a key role in regional development.

Jageshwar Constituency (48 Announcements)

Calling Jageshwar a significant religious and tourism hub, CM Dhami stressed speedy implementation of projects related to:

  • Tourism
  • Drinking water
  • Youth welfare
  • Culture and housing

Government Committed to Balanced Development

CM Dhami reiterated that the state government is committed to ensuring balanced and inclusive development across Uttarakhand, especially in remote and hilly regions.

He stated that regular reviews are essential to:

  • Deliver benefits to citizens on time
  • Ensure accountability
  • Accelerate development
