Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday conducted a public hearing at the Mukhya Sevak Sadan, located at his official residence, where he directly interacted with citizens and listened to their grievances.
People from various districts across the state attended the public hearing, presenting a wide range of issues including drinking water shortages, poor road connectivity, electricity concerns, healthcare gaps, education challenges, and land disputes.
Focus on Immediate Resolution and Accountability
During the session, CM Dhami issued strict instructions to officials from the Chief Minister’s Office and relevant departments to act promptly on all complaints.
He emphasized:
- Every grievance must be addressed on a priority basis
- No negligence or delay will be tolerated
- Regular monitoring of each case must be ensured
- Complainants should be informed about the action taken
The Chief Minister directed authorities to forward complaints immediately to concerned departments and ensure their time-bound resolution.

Public Hearings as a Bridge Between Government and Citizens
Highlighting the importance of such outreach programs, Dhami stated that public hearings are not mere formalities but serve as a direct communication channel between the government and the people.

He added that these platforms help the administration stay connected with real issues faced by citizens, enabling better governance.
Development Focus on Remote and Border Areas
Reaffirming his government’s commitment to inclusive development, the Chief Minister stressed that remote and border regions remain a top priority.
He also reiterated that:
- Government schemes should reach people in a simple and transparent manner
- Service delivery must be efficient and timely
- Officials have already been given strict compliance instructions
Actress Himani Shivpuri Appreciates Char Dham Arrangements
During the event, noted Bollywood actress Himani Shivpuri met the Chief Minister and praised the state administration for improved arrangements for the Char Dham Yatra.
She commended the government’s efforts, stating that authorities appear well-prepared to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage experience for devotees.
Anganwadi Workers Express Gratitude
Anganwadi workers who attended the hearing thanked CM Dhami for his positive response to their demands and expressed optimism about early resolution of their issues.
