Free Medical Assistance to Kanwariyas from July 30 to August 28

The medical camp will remain operational for nearly a month, from 30 July to 28 August 2026.

The camp will be established along the Sultanganj-Deoghar Kanwar Yatra route, which witnesses a large number of devotees during the holy month of Shrawan.

Kanwariyas travelling on the route will be able to access free medical assistance throughout the duration of the initiative.

Medical Support for Devotees During Kanwar Yatra

Every year, lakhs of devotees undertake the Kanwar Yatra during the holy month of Shrawan. The journey involves long-distance walking, often in hot and crowded conditions, which can lead to various health-related challenges.

The free medical camp is expected to provide timely healthcare support to devotees during their journey.

The initiative will help Kanwariyas access medical assistance when required and contribute to their safety and well-being during the pilgrimage.

BCCL Strengthens Community Welfare Through CSR

The initiative highlights BCCL’s commitment to community welfare, public service and social responsibility through its CSR programmes.

The company has continued to undertake initiatives aimed at supporting communities in and around its operational areas. The medical camp for Kanwariyas further expands these efforts by extending assistance to devotees travelling along the pilgrimage route.

The collaboration with Pradan Foundation is expected to support the smooth implementation of the medical assistance programme during Shravani Mela 2026.
