The children of an orphanage in Udaipur were in for a fun-filled surprise when they visited the District Collector’s residence for a special breakfast with him. Because post breakfast, Collector Tarachand Meena had laid out plans for the whole day for the children, which included games, tours, boating, etc. He along with a team of officers accompanied the children and spent the entire day with them. This gave them a chance to know the children intimately by interacting with them to know their wishes, desires, and goals in life.

In an exclusive conversation with Indian Masterminds, Sub Divisional Magistrate of Udaipur, Ms. Saloni Khemka, shared details about the special day.

A VISIT TO THE COLLECTOR’S RESIDENCE

The morning of February 24, 2022, brought happiness into the lives of little children residing in Lavina Seva Sansthan and TAD’s Ashram Hostel Pai, who were left orphaned due to Covid19. This happiness was due to a special invitation to the District Collector’s home.

The officer invited a total of 75 children to his residence where the other officers like SDM Saloni Khemka, ADM Ashok Sharma, were also present to greet and interact with the children.

“We came up with the decision to spend time with the little children so as to motivate them and guide them towards a better future,” said Ms. Khemka.
