About Him
Anilkumar Baliram Gaikwad is a distinguished Indian civil servant and infrastructure expert currently serving as the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). Beginning his career as a junior engineer in the Irrigation Department after earning his AMIE qualification in 1989, he rose through the ranks of the Public Works Department (PWD) to serve as Secretary of PWD (Works) in 2020 and 2021.
Mr Gaikwad is most recognized for his pivotal role in executing massive connectivity projects, including the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway missing link. His leadership has significantly modernised Maharashtra’s transport landscape, earning him international recognition as a representative of India’s sustainable infrastructure vision at global forums.
