Mumbai: In a recent bureaucratic reshuffle, the Government of Maharashtra has appointed Mangesh Hiraman Joshi as the new Director of the Directorate of Tourism. He officially assumed charge of the post in Mumbai on April 21, 2026, marking a key administrative transition aimed at strengthening the state’s tourism sector.

Before his new assignment, Joshi served as Deputy Director General at the Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration, Pune—Maharashtra’s premier administrative training institute.
