Bengaluru: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ananth Technologies Private Limited (ATL) to strengthen indigenous capabilities in advanced defence and aerospace electronics.
The MoU was exchanged by Anoop Kumar Rai, Director (Marketing), BEL, and Anurup Pavuluri, Managing Director, ATL, in the presence of Manoj Jain, CMD, BEL. Ruchi Pant, GM (Technology Planning), BEL, AK Singh, GM (Strategic Planning), BEL, and senior officials from both organisations were also present.
BEL and ATL to Develop Advanced Defence and Aerospace Systems
Under the MoU, BEL and ATL will explore opportunities for the joint design, development and manufacturing of advanced electronic systems and subsystems for defence and aerospace applications.
The partnership will focus on systems and technologies related to:
- Missiles
- Radars
- Satellites
- Navigation systems
- Aerospace electronics
- Advanced defence electronics
The collaboration is aimed at bringing together the technical and manufacturing capabilities of both companies to develop sophisticated systems within India.

Partnership to Strengthen Indigenous Manufacturing
BEL and ATL will work across the complete technology and manufacturing chain. The areas of cooperation will include:
- Design and development

- Production
The partnership is expected to support India’s efforts to expand domestic manufacturing of advanced defence and aerospace systems and reduce dependence on imported technologies.
It also aligns with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative by promoting indigenous development, manufacturing and technological capabilities.
BEL and ATL Bring Complementary Capabilities
The MoU combines BEL’s extensive experience in defence electronics with Ananth Technologies’ expertise in aerospace and advanced electronic systems.
BEL has significant capabilities in developing and manufacturing electronic systems for India’s Army, Navy and Air Force. The Navratna defence PSU has also expanded its operations into several strategic and technology-driven sectors.
Ananth Technologies, with more than three decades of experience, has capabilities across aerospace and defence electronics, satellite systems, launch vehicle avionics, navigation technologies and advanced manufacturing.
