New Delhi: India is set to host the 5th Coast Guard Global Summit (CGGS) in New Delhi in February 2027, as the Bharatiya Tatrakshak (Indian Coast Guard) steps up preparations for the international maritime security gathering.
The summit will coincide with the Swarnim Jayanti of the Bharatiya Tatrakshak, adding significance to India’s upcoming engagement with maritime agencies from across the world.
As part of the preparations, the Indian Coast Guard hosted a Working Level Meeting (WLM) of the 5th CGGS in hybrid mode on August 19.
Preparations Underway for 5th Coast Guard Global Summit
The Working Level Meeting focused on key institutional and organisational arrangements for the forthcoming summit.
Participants discussed the refinement of the CGGS Meeting Guidelines, strengthening of information-sharing mechanisms and further development and management of the CGGS website.
