Patna: Bihar’s popular dairy brand Sudha is set to expand its reach as dairy products will now be available at petrol pumps across the state. The Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation Limited (COMFED) has signed a multi-dimensional Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to promote dairy products and strengthen the state’s cooperative dairy sector.

The MoU was exchanged during a programme marking the completion of 100 days of the Bihar government, in the presence of the Chief Minister and cabinet members. The initiative is expected to provide new business opportunities for dairy cooperative societies and increase the income of milk-producing farmers.

Under the new partnership, Sudha dairy products will be made available at various petrol pumps across Bihar. The initiative aims to provide customers with easy access to quality dairy products along with petroleum services at a single location.

The partnership will also include the establishment of Sudha Cafeterias at selected petrol pump locations.

Key benefits of the initiative include:

  • Easy availability of Sudha dairy products for consumers.
  • Expansion of Bihar’s dairy market.
  • Better business opportunities for dairy cooperative societies.

Partnership to Strengthen Bihar’s Dairy Sector

The Bihar government said the agreement is an important step towards strengthening the state’s dairy and cooperative sector.

  • Contribute to the growth of Bihar’s dairy economy.

The agreement between COMFED, HPCL and IOCL marks a significant step towards integrating dairy services with existing public infrastructure and expanding opportunities for farmers across Bihar.
