Patna: Bihar’s popular dairy brand Sudha is set to expand its reach as dairy products will now be available at petrol pumps across the state. The Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation Limited (COMFED) has signed a multi-dimensional Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to promote dairy products and strengthen the state’s cooperative dairy sector.
The MoU was exchanged during a programme marking the completion of 100 days of the Bihar government, in the presence of the Chief Minister and cabinet members. The initiative is expected to provide new business opportunities for dairy cooperative societies and increase the income of milk-producing farmers.
Sudha Products to Be Sold at Petrol Pumps Across Bihar
Under the new partnership, Sudha dairy products will be made available at various petrol pumps across Bihar. The initiative aims to provide customers with easy access to quality dairy products along with petroleum services at a single location.
The partnership will also include the establishment of Sudha Cafeterias at selected petrol pump locations.

- Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation Limited (COMFED)
- Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)
- Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)
The MoU exchange took place during the Bihar government’s 100-day completion ceremony.
From the Bihar government side, the agreement was handed over by Topesh Kapil Ashok, Secretary of the Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources Department and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of COMFED.
Representing the oil companies:
- HPCL was represented by Executive Director Anup Kumar Samantaray.
- IOCL was represented by Zonal Head Sumant Jha.
Partnership to Strengthen Bihar’s Dairy Sector
The Bihar government said the agreement is an important step towards strengthening the state’s dairy and cooperative sector.
The initiative is expected to support the goal of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” (Prosperity Through Cooperation) by creating new opportunities for dairy producers and cooperative organisations.

Along with petrol pumps, Sudha Cafeterias will also be developed under this partnership. These outlets will allow customers to purchase a range of Sudha products while accessing fuel and other services. The move is expected to improve consumer convenience and provide a stronger retail network for Bihar’s dairy brand.
