Patna: Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan announced a landmark employment initiative, stating that the state administration will prioritise creating one crore government jobs and broader employment opportunities by 2030. The ambitious target was unveiled during the Republic Day celebrations at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

Governor Khan emphasized that the government will adopt a mission-mode approach to fill vacant posts and create new roles, aiming to provide stable employment for youth across the state over the next decade.

Mission Mode Employment Creation

During his address, Governor Khan highlighted that job creation is a top priority for Bihar through 2030. The government will not only focus on filling existing government vacancies but also expand opportunities in new roles to accommodate emerging needs.

“The state has already made notable progress, filling tens of thousands of government positions while simultaneously creating additional employment avenues,” the governor said. The initiative reflects Bihar’s commitment to reducing unemployment and providing sustainable career opportunities for its growing young population.

Focus on Youth and Skill Development

With a clear target for 2030, Bihar aims to equip its youth with better career opportunities and long-term employment prospects. Governor Khan emphasized that this systematic approach to job creation is part of a broader strategy to stimulate economic growth, reduce unemployment, and empower citizens with meaningful livelihoods.

Officials indicated that detailed implementation plans and regular progress updates will be shared in the coming months, ensuring transparency and accountability in achieving the state’s ambitious employment goals.
