Patna: As many as 3,628 women candidates in the state have benefited from the Civil Services Incentive Scheme over the last five years, receiving financial assistance to support their preparation for civil services examinations conducted by UPSC and BPSC. Since its launch in 2021, the scheme has facilitated the transfer of ₹18.77 crore directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

Scheme Supports Women from Multiple Social Categories

The incentive scheme covers women candidates belonging to the General Category, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Backward Classes who have successfully cleared the preliminary examinations of UPSC and BPSC. The objective of the initiative is to encourage greater participation of women in civil services by reducing financial constraints during the critical stages of examination preparation.
