New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has announced the appointment of three senior civil servants as Directors in important central government organisations under the Central Staffing Scheme.

The appointments have been made for a period of five years from the date the officers assume charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The Office of the Establishment Officer issued separate appointment orders and directed the respective cadre-controlling authorities to relieve the officers immediately so they can take charge of their new responsibilities.

Rashmi Ramesh Doddamane Appointed Director in DARPG

Rashmi Ramesh Doddamane, an officer of the Indian Posts and Telecommunications Accounts and Finance Service (IP&TA&FS), 2012 batch, has been appointed as Director in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Delhi.

Her appointment has been made for a tenure of five years.

Doddamane was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Telecommunications.

Sonal Mehlawat, a 2011-batch Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) officer, has been appointed as Director in Lokpal, Delhi, under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

Her name was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Defence.

The appointment has been approved under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years.

Mansi Verma Posted as Director in National Recruitment Agency

Mansi Verma, an officer of the Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS), 2012 batch, has been appointed as Director in the National Recruitment Agency (NRA), Delhi, under the Department of Personnel and Training.

She was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Railways.

The Railway Board has been directed to relieve her immediately so that she can assume her new assignment.

Mohammed Ali Shihab A Appointed CVO at MRPL

Apart from the three Director-level appointments, Mohammed Ali Shihab A, an IAS officer of the 2011 batch (Nagaland cadre), has been appointed as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), Mangaluru.

The appointment has been made under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas for a period of three years.

Officers Required to Join New Posts Within Three Weeks

DoPT has reiterated that officers selected under the Central Staffing Scheme must join their new assignments within three weeks from the date of the appointment order.

The rule is based on the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) guidelines issued through DoPT’s circular dated August 17, 2005.

Failure to join within the specified period may lead to the initiation of debarment proceedings under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Ministries Asked to Complete Formalities

The concerned ministries and departments have been requested to forward copies of the formal appointment notifications to the Department of Personnel and Training after they are issued.

The latest appointments are part of the Centre’s ongoing administrative process to strengthen leadership in key government institutions by placing experienced officers in important roles through the Central Staffing Scheme.

These postings are aimed at ensuring effective governance, administrative reforms, and better coordination across major government bodies.
