As SDOs (Revenue), the officers will be closely involved in matters relating to land and revenue administration, law and order and general administration within their respective jurisdictions.

The move is expected to strengthen administrative capacity at the sub-divisional level and bring trained young IAS officers into key field positions.

Five Young IAS Officers Move Into Key Field Roles

With the latest order, five IAS officers have moved from their Assistant Collector assignments into dedicated SDO (Revenue) positions.

The postings give the officers greater responsibility for field administration and revenue-related matters while strengthening the administrative setup across Kanker, Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Rajnandgaon, Raigarh and Korba districts.

The reshuffle reflects the government’s focus on deploying trained IAS officers in field positions to improve coordination, decision-making and delivery of administrative services at the grassroots level.
