Niwar: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has launched a major development drive in Niwari district, inaugurating 44 projects worth more than ₹109 crore and laying the foundation stone for 15 new development works costing over ₹54 crore.
During his visit to Niwari, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the state government is working with a commitment towards the welfare of the poor, youth, women and farmers. He highlighted that overall development and public welfare remain the primary goals of the government.
Niwari Gets New Joint Collectorate Building and Upgraded District Hospital
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated several major infrastructure projects aimed at improving administrative services and healthcare facilities in the district.
Major projects inaugurated include:
- New Joint Collectorate Building in Niwari built at a cost of ₹25.63 crore.
- Upgradation and strengthening of the 100-bed District Hospital, Niwari at a cost of nearly ₹20 crore.
- Development works related to roads, healthcare centres and public infrastructure.
The Chief Minister said these projects will strengthen government services and provide better facilities to residents of Niwari.

44 Development Projects Worth ₹109 Crore Inaugurated
During the development programme, CM Mohan Yadav inaugurated 44 completed projects with a total investment of more than ₹109 crore.
The projects include:
- New infrastructure facilities.
- Road construction and improvement works.
- Healthcare facilities.
- Anganwadi centres.
- Water-related infrastructure.
- Public service buildings.
He also performed the bhoomi pujan (foundation stone laying) for 15 upcoming projects costing more than ₹54 crore.
New Health Centres, Roads and Anganwadi Buildings Opened
The Chief Minister inaugurated several important projects across Niwari district.
These include:
- New Primary Health Centres at:
- Jevara
- Sakera Bhandaran
- Sendri
- Ayush Wing and Sanjeevani Clinic in Niwari.
- Roads and construction works in areas including:
- Viraura
- Sakera
- Atrar
- Jamunia
- Jikhangao
- Guvawali
- Churara
- Stop dam at Majra Khairai and Digwar Kalan.
- 14 new Anganwadi centres.
- Newly constructed Niwari building and other infrastructure projects.
The government said these initiatives will improve healthcare access and basic facilities for people in rural areas.

Farmers’ Welfare Remains Government’s Priority: CM Mohan Yadav
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said farmer welfare is one of the top priorities of the Madhya Pradesh government.
He highlighted several initiatives:
- Wheat procurement from 14 lakh farmers at minimum support price this year.
- Promotion of dairy production to increase farmers’ income.
- Target to increase milk production contribution up to 20%.
- Support for alternative income activities such as:
- Fish farming
- Singhada (water chestnut) cultivation
The Chief Minister said efforts are being made to increase farmers’ earnings through multiple agricultural and allied activities.
Bundelkhand Development is Top Priority: CM
Speaking about regional development, CM Mohan Yadav said the progress of Bundelkhand remains a major priority for the state government.
He remembered the cultural and historical importance of Niwari and Orchha, describing the region as a land of bravery and heritage.
The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of the Ken-Betwa Link Project and said it will benefit districts across Bundelkhand.
According to him:
- Around 168 villages of Niwari district will benefit from the project.
- Industrial activities are being encouraged in Prithvipur.
- Development of industrial areas in Sagar district is also underway.
Chief Minister Announces New Projects and Facilities for Niwari
During the programme, CM Mohan Yadav made several major announcements for Niwari and the state.
Key announcements include:
- A Law College and MBA College will be established in Niwari.
- Every Nagar Panchayat in Madhya Pradesh will get a Geeta Bhawan.
- A modern and fully equipped new bus stand will be developed in Niwari.
- Mukhyamantri Sugam Sahayata Bus Service will be launched across the state.
- A new cowshed will be constructed in Taricharkala.
- A bridge will be built over the Kanare River between Janauli and Chandavani.
Government Focuses on Welfare of Poor, Women, Youth and Farmers
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Madhya Pradesh government is working towards inclusive development.
He highlighted initiatives focused on:
- Empowerment of women and girls.
- Support for farmers.
- Employment opportunities for youth.
- Welfare schemes for economically weaker sections.
He also mentioned the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code 2026 in Madhya Pradesh as a step towards providing equal rights and security.

Niwari district in-charge minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha said the Chief Minister’s visit and new development projects will accelerate the district’s growth.
Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Kevat praised the government’s efforts towards strengthening:
- Education infrastructure.
- Healthcare services.
- Roads and basic facilities.
- Empowerment programmes for farmers, women and youth.
