Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai interacted with meritorious students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) who successfully cleared the NEET 2026 examination during the ‘Eklavya Samvad’ programme held at the Chief Minister’s Residence Office in Raipur on Tuesday.
Congratulating the students on their achievement, the Chief Minister said their success was not only a personal milestone but also a proud moment for Chhattisgarh and the tribal community. Addressing the students, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai praised their hard work and perseverance in clearing one of India’s most competitive medical entrance examinations.
He also congratulated parents and teachers, saying their support and guidance played an equally important role in the students’ success.
The Chief Minister said the Eklavya Model Residential Schools are providing quality education and modern facilities to tribal students, enabling them to compete successfully at the national level.

- Educational development in Bastar.
- Financial assistance for higher education.

Tribal Youth Hostel Capacity Increased Fourfold
Replying to a question from Radheshyam of Dhamtari district, the Chief Minister said the capacity of the Tribal Youth Hostel in Delhi has been expanded from 50 seats to 200 seats.
The hostel provides:
- Free accommodation.
- Free meals.
- Coaching for UPSC.
- Preparation for medical and engineering entrance examinations.
He informed students that 13 candidates from the hostel cleared the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination this year.
Chhattisgarh Expands Higher Education Opportunities
The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s significant progress in higher education.
He said:
- Chhattisgarh had only one medical college at the time of its formation.
- Today, the state has 15 medical colleges, including government and private institutions.
- Five new government medical colleges are being established.
- IIT, IIIT, National Law University and Central University are providing quality higher education in the state.
He added that the expansion of educational institutions has created greater opportunities for students across Chhattisgarh.
Scholarships and Financial Support for Students
The Chief Minister said the government is ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent deserving students from pursuing higher education.
Available support includes:
- Scholarships.
- Education loans.
- Chief Minister’s Discretionary Grant.
- Up to ₹2 lakh annually for higher education for children of registered labourers.
- Financial assistance for eligible students studying abroad.
He said the government remains committed to supporting talented students from economically weaker backgrounds.
34 Nalanda Campuses Offer Round-the-Clock Study Facilities
Answering a question from Avadhesh Kumar of Gariaband district, the Chief Minister said the state has established 34 Nalanda Campuses for students preparing for competitive examinations.
The facilities provide:
- 24×7 study spaces.
- Online learning resources.
- Offline study material.
- Support for competitive exam preparation throughout the week.
He assured students that the government would continue investing in educational infrastructure.
Chief Minister Helpline 1076 Strengthens Good Governance
The Chief Minister also explained the objectives of the newly launched Chief Minister Helpline 1076.
He said citizens can use the helpline to:
- Register complaints.
- Submit suggestions.
- Report problems related to public services.
- Raise issues concerning hostels and educational facilities.
Around 8,000 government officials have been assigned responsibilities under the system to ensure timely grievance redressal.
According to the Chief Minister, people are already using the helpline for issues related to electricity, water supply, land records, mutation and boundary disputes.
Bastar Witnessing a New Era of Education and Development
Responding to a question from Kashish Netam of Kanker district, the Chief Minister said the decline of Naxalism has opened new opportunities for education and development in Bastar.
He announced that:
- Closed schools in the Bastar region are being reopened.
- New schools are being established.
- Roads, healthcare facilities and public infrastructure are expanding rapidly.
- Modern Education Cities are being developed at Jagargunda and Orchha in Narayanpur district on the lines of the Jawanga Education Hub.
He said these initiatives will ensure quality education reaches students in remote tribal areas.
Government Urges Medical Graduates to Serve Tribal and Remote Areas
Responding to a question from Ankita of Sukma district, the Chief Minister urged future doctors to serve Chhattisgarh after completing their education.
He said every medical student receives significant government support and therefore has a responsibility to contribute to society.
The government also provides:
- Additional salary for doctors posted in remote areas.
- Special incentives for serving tribal regions.
- Better facilities for healthcare professionals working in difficult locations.
