The 1989 batch IFS officer received the award for his undying dedication to protect and conserve tigers
Senior Indian Forest Service officer of the 1989 batch, Mr. SP Yadav has been awarded the Global Tiger Initiative Council (GTIC) Leadership in Conservation Award for his outstanding work on the tiger agenda and for evolving partnerships for conservation.
The officer, currently posted as the Member Secretary of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) received the honour from the Union Cabinet Minister of Labour and Employment, Forest and Climate Change, GoI, Mr. Bhupendra Yadav during the Prime Minister’s visit to the Bandipur and Mudumalai Tiger Reserves in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
