MP CM Dr. Mohan Yadav Launches Digital Census 2027, Calls It Foundation of Nation’s Development

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has officially launched the online self-enumeration process for Census 2027, stating that the census is not just a data collection exercise but the foundation of national development and future planning.

Census 2027 Begins with Digital Self-Enumeration

The Chief Minister announced that the census process in the state will begin with online self-enumeration from April 16 to April 30. He also initiated the process by completing the initial registration on the self-enumeration portal.

Key timeline:

  • Self-enumeration period: 16–30 April
  • House listing operation: 1–30 May
  • Entire process will be conducted using digital and modern technology

Census is Backbone of National Development: CM Yadav

Dr. Yadav emphasized that the census is essential for understanding whether development is reaching the last person in society.

  • It is crucial for securing a better future for children and future generations

He described the census as the “backbone of the nation and foundation of development.”

Call for Public Participation and Accuracy

The Chief Minister urged citizens to participate actively and provide:

  • Accurate information
  • Complete and truthful data
  • Full cooperation in the census process

He highlighted that public participation is essential for effective national planning and governance.

Officials Recognized for Nation-Building Role

Dr. Yadav also appreciated the efforts of census officials and staff, stating that:

  • They are playing a key role in nation-building
  • Their accuracy and dedication will strengthen future planning
  • The census process is a “sacred responsibility” toward national development

The launch of Census 2027 self-enumeration in Madhya Pradesh marks a major step toward digital governance and data-driven development planning. The state government aims to ensure transparency, accuracy, and widespread citizen participation in the nationwide exercise.
