Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav will launch the Guru Ravidas Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan and Kalash Yatra on August 18 at Ravindra Bhavan, Bhopal. The campaign will mark the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Maharaj.
The state-wide initiative will take his messages of equality, devotion, service, social justice and humanity to villages and communities across Madhya Pradesh.
Kalash Yatra Across Districts
The campaign will begin with sacred kalash being sent to different districts. Kalash Vandan and Samman ceremonies will take place at district headquarters on August 20.
From August 20 to September 10, Kalash Rath Yatras will travel to local Ravidas temples and villages. The programme will include collective prayers, Guruvani recitations, bhajan evenings and Samrasta Sankalp activities.

Samrasta Yatra From October 5
The Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Samrasta Yatra will take place from October 5 to November 5. Starting from Dera Sachkhand Ballan in Jalandhar, the yatra will pass through different parts of Madhya Pradesh.
Major stops will host welcome programmes, discussions and social harmony pledges centred on equality, service, social justice and the vision of Begumpura.
Saints to Join the Campaign
A Sant Contact Programme will run from August 18 to 31 to involve saints and gurus in the campaign’s activities.
The Scheduled Caste Welfare Department will coordinate the campaign, while the Tribal Affairs Department will oversee activities in tribal districts. Other departments will support public awareness, cultural programmes and arrangements.
The initiative aims to turn Guru Ravidas’s teachings into a wider public campaign for social harmony, equality and community participation across Madhya Pradesh.
