CHANDIGARH: The Government of Haryana has transferred two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers in a minor but significant bureaucratic reshuffle.
As part of the latest order, Varsha Khangwal has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Jhajjar district.
Varsha Khangwal Takes Charge as DC Jhajjar
A 2018-batch IAS officer, Varsha Khangwal was serving as Additional Secretary in the Vigilance Department prior to her new posting.
Earlier in her career, she also held the position of Director of the Public Relations and Languages Department, where she handled key administrative responsibilities.
Her appointment as Deputy Commissioner of Jhajjar places her in charge of district administration, law and order coordination, and implementation of state and central government schemes.
Swapnil Ravindra Patil Gets New Responsibilities
Swapnil Ravindra Patil, who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Jhajjar, has been transferred and assigned two important roles.
He will now serve as:
- Special Secretary, Vigilance Department
- State Project Director, Haryana School Shiksha Pariyojana Parishad
The dual assignment entrusts him with responsibilities related to both administrative vigilance and implementation of key education initiatives in the state.
Administrative Reshuffle in Haryana
The transfer order reflects the Haryana government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and administrative efficiency by placing experienced officers in strategic positions.
Both officers are considered capable administrators and are expected to play important roles in their new assignments.
