New Delhi: Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) Chairman and Managing Director Anupam Misra inaugurated several key initiatives during his visit to the Indian Copper Complex (ICC) on September 30, 2026.
The initiatives included a new Pisciculture Project under HCL’s CSR programme, a newly procured ambulance and a newly constructed Rescue Room at the Surda Group Vocational Centre.
During the visit, Misra also felicitated Safai Mitras as part of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 and participated in a plantation drive under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative.
HCL CMD Inaugurates Pisciculture Project Under CSR
During his visit to the Indian Copper Complex, Anupam Misra unveiled the Pisciculture Project, developed under HCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Pisciculture, or fish farming, is aimed at supporting livelihood opportunities and promoting productive use of available resources in the surrounding community.
The project forms part of HCL’s efforts to undertake community-oriented initiatives through its CSR programmes.

New Ambulance and Rescue Room Inaugurated
Misra also inaugurated a newly procured HCL ambulance during the visit.
In addition, he inaugurated the newly constructed Rescue Room at the Surda Group Vocational Centre.
The initiatives are aimed at strengthening emergency response and safety-related facilities at the ICC.

Safai Mitras Felicitated Under Swachhata Hi Seva 2026
As part of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026, the HCL CMD felicitated Safai Mitras at the Indian Copper Complex.
The recognition acknowledged their contribution to cleanliness and sanitation efforts as part of the nationwide cleanliness campaign.
The initiative also reflects HCL’s focus on encouraging participation and awareness around cleanliness and hygiene.
Fruit-Bearing Saplings Planted Under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’
The visit also featured a plantation activity under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign.
As part of the initiative, fruit-bearing saplings were planted at the complex.
The plantation drive supports environmental sustainability and encourages greater participation in tree plantation and green initiatives.
Senior HCL Officials Accompany CMD
Anupam Misra was accompanied by senior HCL officials during his visit to the Indian Copper Complex.
The delegation included:
- Dr Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Director (Operations), HCL
- Umesh Singh, Executive Director and Unit Head, Indian Copper Complex
- Other senior officials of HCL
The officials reviewed and participated in the various initiatives undertaken during the CMD’s visit.
