New Delhi: Hindustan Copper Limited has announced the appointment of Kulveer Singh Yadav as Part-time Official (Government Nominee) Director on its Board, effective May 7, 2026.
The appointment was made following regulatory disclosures to stock exchanges under SEBI Listing Regulations, strengthening the company’s governance framework.
Replaces Previous Government Nominee Director
Yadav has been appointed in place of Shakil Alam, EA, Ministry of Mines, and will serve on the Board until further orders.
The company confirmed that he holds a valid Director Identification Number (DIN) and is not debarred from holding any directorship by SEBI or other authorities.

Experienced 2002-Batch IOFS Officer
Kulveer Singh Yadav is a 2002-batch officer of the Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) and currently serves as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Mines.
He brings extensive experience in:
- Defence manufacturing and production systems
- Industrial operations and public sector governance
- Policy implementation and strategic planning
During his earlier tenure, he contributed to key defence programmes, including the indigenous development of the Dhanush 155mm/45-calibre Howitzer.
Strengthening Governance and Strategic Oversight
The company said Yadav’s expertise is expected to enhance strategic decision-making and strengthen alignment with government policies in the mining and metals sector.
His appointment is aimed at improving operational governance and reinforcing long-term institutional stability.
