New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has approved the premature repatriation of senior Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) officer Arti Chhabra Srivastava from the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to her parent cadre. The move has been approved to enable her to avail the benefits of promotion in her parent cadre.
According to the DoPT order issued on Thursday, November 5, 2026, the competent authority has approved her premature repatriation from the CVC, where she has been serving as Additional Secretary (Joint Secretary level).
A 1990-batch IOFS officer, Srivastava has been serving in the CVC since March 2022. She is scheduled to superannuate on January 31, 2027, leaving her with less than three months before retirement.
Arti Chhabra Srivastava’s Tenure in CVC

In November 2025, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved an extension of her central deputation tenure up to the date of her superannuation. However, the latest DoPT order has now approved her premature repatriation to her parent cadre to enable her to receive the benefits of promotion.
Her repatriation comes ahead of her scheduled retirement on January 31, 2027.
