The Commission has further stated that requests for changes in the date and time of the Personality Test will ordinarily not be entertained.

DAF-II and Online Application Updates: November 11 to 25

Candidates who have qualified for the Personality Test must fill in or update the required details in their online application forms. The facility will be available on the UPSC online portal from November 11 to November 25, 2026, until 6:00 PM.

Candidates must carefully verify the information already submitted and update all applicable fields. These include correspondence and permanent postal addresses, higher educational qualifications, achievements in different fields, employment details and service experience, marital status, parental details, earlier examination and attempt information, and details of services allocated through previous Civil Services Examinations.

Candidates must also update applicable reservation-related information, including OBC/EWS annexures, PwBD recommendation details, service preferences, home cadre preferences, debarment information, socio-economic questionnaire responses and details concerning disclosure on the Pratibha Setu Portal.

The Commission has specifically clarified that candidates who have already uploaded all required information and do not have anything further to update must also log in, verify their details and finally submit the application form.

After successful submission, a unique reference number will be generated and sent to the candidate’s registered email ID and mobile number through email and SMS.

Failure to complete the online submission within the prescribed period may result in the candidate not receiving an e-Summon Letter. UPSC has stated that no correspondence will be entertained in this regard after the deadline.

Special Instructions for Candidates Whose Educational Qualifications Were Pending

Candidates who had indicated their educational qualification status as ‘appearing’ at the time of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 and have now qualified for the Personality Test must complete an additional mandatory requirement.

They must update the relevant educational qualification fields, including their status as appearing or appeared, provide proof of passing the requisite qualifying examination and upload the supporting document.

The Commission has warned that failure to complete this requirement will lead to cancellation of candidature. No e-Summon Letter will be issued to such candidates, and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

Candidates are therefore advised to ensure that all educational qualification details and supporting documents are correctly submitted within the prescribed timeline.

Original Certificates Must Be Produced at the Interview

The UPSC has clarified that the candidature of all shortlisted candidates is provisional and subject to verification of their eligibility in all respects.

Candidates will be required to produce original certificates and supporting documents at the time of the Personality Test. These include documents relating to age, educational qualifications, community and reservation claims, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) status, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and other applicable eligibility requirements.

Candidates claiming benefits or relaxations under SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other applicable categories must ensure that their certificates meet the prescribed conditions.

The Commission has specifically stated that the relevant original certificates must have been issued on or before the closing date of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 application, which was February 27, 2026.

Candidates have also been advised to keep their original documents, including the required TA Form and other supporting records, ready for verification during the interview.

Attestation Form to Be Submitted Online Through DoPT Portal

Apart from updating their UPSC application forms, all candidates who have qualified for the Personality Test must also fill out and submit the Attestation Form online.

The form will be made available on the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) website from the commencement of the Personality Tests until the conclusion of the interview process.

Candidates will be required to access the form through the DoPT CSE Plus portal and complete the submission within the prescribed period.

For queries or clarification regarding the Attestation Form, candidates can contact DoPT through the following email addresses and telephone numbers:
