New Delhi: The post held by Vikas Raizada (IOFS:2011) at the Tribal Co-operative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED), Chandigarh, has been re-designated from Deputy Secretary level to Director level for a period of one year.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on November 5, 2026, the competent authority has approved the re-designation of the post from Level-12 to Level-13 of the pay matrix.
The change will take effect from the date Raizada assumes charge of the re-designated post. It will remain valid until November 5, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Raizada is currently serving as Deputy General Manager at TRIFED, Chandigarh, under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The re-designation concerns the level of the post and should not be construed as a change in his service or cadre.
Who Is Vikas Raizada?
Vikas Raizada belongs to the Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS), 2011 batch. His professional experience spans the private sector, academia, defence production and government administration.
Before joining the civil services, he worked as a Software Analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions from 2005 to 2006. He subsequently served as a Sales Officer at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) from 2007 to 2010 and as an Assistant Professor at Thapar Polytechnic College, Patiala, from 2010 to 2012.
Career in Defence Production and Government Service
After joining the IOFS, Raizada served in various positions under the Ministry of Defence. Between 2012 and 2016, he worked as an Assistant Works Manager in Chandigarh, followed by a posting as Works Manager from 2016 to 2021.
He subsequently served as Deputy General Manager, handling responsibilities associated with operational and production activities within the ordnance factory system.
In November 2022, he moved to the Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), where he took charge as Head of the Purchasing Department.
In November 2025, DoPT appointed him as Deputy General Manager at TRIFED, Chandigarh. His present assignment is under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
Areas of Professional Experience
Raizada’s career has given him experience in production planning and industrial management, public procurement, supply-chain logistics and human resource coordination in large government organisations.
The re-designation of his post at TRIFED to Director level is valid for one year, subject to the conditions specified in the DoPT order.
