MP Transfers 8 IAS Officers; New Collectors Appointed in Shahdol, Chhatarpur & Balaghat

The Madhya Pradesh government has transferred eight IAS officers, appointing new Collectors in Shahdol, Chhatarpur and Balaghat. A revised order shifted 2016-batch IAS officer Misha Singh to Bhopal, while Parth Jaiswal was named the new Shahdol Collector.

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has transferred eight IAS officers, making key administrative changes across the state. The reshuffle includes the appointment of new Collectors in Shahdol, Chhatarpur and Balaghat, while a revised order has shifted 2016-batch IAS officer Misha Singh to Bhopal after she sought a posting in the state capital.

The revised transfer order replaces an earlier notification issued two days ago, under which Misha Singh had been posted as Collector of Shahdol.

Misha Singh Shifted to Bhopal

In the revised posting order, Misha Singh (IAS:2016) has been appointed Additional Commissioner, Urban Development and Housing Department, Bhopal, instead of taking charge as Collector of Shahdol.

According to reports, Misha Singh, who is pregnant, had requested the state government for a posting in Bhopal or Indore.

Following her transfer, Parth Jaiswal has been appointed the new Collector of Shahdol.

Three Districts Get New Collectors

The reshuffle has resulted in new Collectors being appointed in three districts.

  • Parth Jaiswal, an IAS officer of 2015 batch, has been transferred from Collector, Chhatarpur, to become Collector, Shahdol.
  • Mrinal Meena (2015 batch) has been shifted from Collector, Balaghat, and appointed Collector, Chhatarpur.
  • 2017 batch IAS officer Kumar Satyam has been posted as the new Collector, Balaghat.

Changes in Skill Development and Other Departments

The government has also reassigned several senior officers to key administrative departments.

2015 batch IAS officer Aditi Garg has been removed as Collector, Mandsaur, and appointed Project Director, Madhya Pradesh Skill Development Project, along with the additional responsibility of Chief Executive Officer, State Skill Development and Employment Generation Board.

2011 batch IAS officer Dinesh Jain has been transferred from Additional Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, to serve as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, besides holding the post of Additional Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies Department.

Girish Sharma, who was serving as Project Director, Madhya Pradesh Skill Development Project, has been posted as Additional Secretary, Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Department.

General Administration Department Gets New Deputy Secretary

The government has transferred Ankit Asthana from the Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Departmentto the General Administration Department as Deputy Secretary.

He has also been entrusted with the additional charge of Director, Employee Selection Board.

Additional Responsibilities Assigned

The state government has assigned Swarochish Somvanshi additional charge as Secretary, State Planning Commission, and Director, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis, while he continues as Commissioner, Economics and Statistics until further orders.

The charge of Director of the institute was earlier held by Rishi Garg, Managing Director of the Central Region Power Distribution Company.
