Ranchi: The Jharkhand Police Headquarters has made extensive security and law-and-order arrangements in Nemra, the ancestral village of Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Ramgarh district, ahead of the Shradh ceremony of his late mother, Rupi Soren.
Considering the scale of the event and the need for coordinated security arrangements, the police administration has ordered the deployment of 13 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and 42 State Police Service officers, including officers of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) rank.
A total of 55 officers have been assigned responsibilities to oversee security, maintain law and order, coordinate field-level arrangements and monitor sensitive locations in Nemra and other parts of Ramgarh district during the ceremony.

Shradh (or Shraddha) ceremony is a sacred Hindu ritual performed with faith and devotion to honor deceased ancestors, repay karmic debt, and bring peace to their souls in the afterlife.
Police Headquarters Issues Deputation Order on October 12
