Ranchi: The capital city of Ranchi is set to emerge as a major technology hub as the Jharkhand government speeds up preparations for a massive IT Park project in Dhurwa’s Naya Sarai area. The state government has identified nearly 107 acres of land for the ambitious development, aimed at placing Ranchi firmly on India’s growing technology map.

The Information Technology and e-Governance Department is currently working in mission mode to fast-track the project and attract leading technology companies to the state.

Tender Process Nearing Completion

According to officials, the tender process for preparing the master plan and Detailed Project Report (DPR) is in its final stage. The last date for submission of bids was fixed for May 6, and technical evaluation of the received proposals is expected to begin immediately after the deadline.

The department plans to complete the company selection and financial bidding process quickly so that the construction roadmap can be finalized and on-ground work can begin without delay.

Major Employment Opportunities for Jharkhand Youth

The upcoming Ranchi IT Park is expected to create large-scale employment opportunities for skilled youth across Jharkhand. The project is being seen as a significant step toward reducing the migration of IT professionals and engineering graduates to cities like Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad.

Once operational, the park will offer local youth access to world-class workspaces, advanced digital infrastructure, and better career opportunities within their home state.

Modern Infrastructure Planned Inside the IT Park

The proposed IT Park in Ranchi will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure designed to support India’s growing digital economy. Planned facilities include:

  • Advanced data centers
  • Startup incubation centers
  • Dedicated spaces for technology companies and startups
  • High-speed communication networks
  • Modern office infrastructure

The project is expected to attract major corporate investments and strengthen Jharkhand’s digital ecosystem.

Ranchi IT Park to Boost Jharkhand Economy

Experts believe the development of the IT Park will significantly contribute to Jharkhand’s economic growth. Apart from direct employment in the IT and software sectors, the project is likely to generate thousands of indirect jobs in transportation, food services, hospitality, housing, and other support industries. The initiative is also expected to improve Ranchi’s reputation as an emerging destination for technology investment in eastern India.

Ranchi Emerging as a New Technology Destination

With the development of the 107-acre IT Park, Ranchi is taking a major step toward becoming a modern technology and startup destination. The project reflects the Jharkhand government’s focus on digital growth, innovation, and employment generation for the state’s youth.

If completed on schedule, the Ranchi IT Park could become one of the biggest technology infrastructure projects in eastern India and open a new chapter in Jharkhand’s economic development.
