Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said the Madhya Pradesh government is seriously pursuing the concerns of traders and local residents and will present their interests strongly before the Supreme Court.
Speaking to the media on September 4, CM Yadav said the government is closely monitoring the matter and will consider all aspects while following the Supreme Court’s directions. He assured that the government would make every possible effort to find a better and permanent solution to the years-old problem.
Government to Consider Traders’ and Residents’ Interests
CM Yadav said the government remains committed to addressing difficulties faced by people in Bhopal. He stressed that all relevant issues would be placed before the Supreme Court with seriousness.
He added that the government would examine the matter from the perspective of traders and local residents and take the best possible decision within the framework provided by the court.

Janapav to Be Developed as Major Pilgrimage Site
On Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the Chief Minister also extended greetings to the people of Madhya Pradesh. He said he would visit Janapav, a site associated with Lord Krishna and Mahर्षि Parshuram.
According to the traditional account cited by the Chief Minister, Lord Parshuram presented the Sudarshan Chakra to Lord Krishna at Janapav. Considering its religious and historical importance, the state government plans to develop Janapav as a major pilgrimage destination.
Religious Tourism Gets Fresh Push
CM Yadav said the development of religious sites has given new momentum to religious tourism in Madhya Pradesh. The construction of Mahakal Lok has particularly transformed the tourism landscape of Ujjain and created greater interest in religious destinations across the state.
He said Ujjain received around 60–70 lakh devotees and tourists annually until 2022, while the number has now reached crores.
The government is also developing other important religious sites to attract more visitors, generate local employment and support wider economic development around pilgrimage destinations.
Culture and Development Go Together
The government’s focus on religious tourism is aimed not only at improving pilgrimage facilities but also at creating new opportunities for local communities. Developing destinations such as Janapav could strengthen tourism-linked businesses, employment and infrastructure while preserving their cultural and historical significance.
