Bhopal: In one of the most significant bureaucratic exercises in recent months, the Madhya Pradesh government has transferred 29 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, reassigning them to important positions across key departments and administrative divisions.
The large-scale reshuffle, ordered by the General Administration Department, includes changes in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Revenue Department, Jail Department, Urban Development, Sports, Energy, Tribal Affairs, Cooperative Sector, Education, Health and district administration.
Among the most notable changes is the transfer of Alok Kumar Singh, who was serving as Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and also holding additional charge of the Mines Department.

Alok Kumar Singh Shifted from Chief Minister’s Secretariat
One of the most discussed decisions in the reshuffle is the transfer of Alok Kumar Singh (IAS:2008) from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
Mr Singh, who was serving as Secretary to the Chief Minister and additionally handling the Mines portfolio, has now been appointed:

- Superintendent of Stamps
