New Delhi: The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB) has promoted 10 Indian Information Service (IIS) officers from the Junior Administrative Grade (JAG) to the Senior Administrative Grade (SAG), with several of them being posted as Additional Directors General (ADG) across key communication and media organisations.
The promotions and postings cover officers from the 2009 and 2010 batches and strengthen the senior leadership structure of the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) and Electronic Media Monitoring Centre (EMMC).
The officers have been assigned responsibilities in New Delhi as well as major regional centres including Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.
10 IIS Officers Elevated to Senior Administrative Grade
Among the officers promoted and posted at the ADG level are:
- Nilesh Kumar Kalbhor, IIS (Maharashtra, 2009) – Promoted to SAG and posted as ADG, Electronic Media Monitoring Centre (EMMC), New Delhi.
- Ajmera Gopal Santoshi, IIS (Maharashtra, 2009) – Promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, Kolkata.
- Keerti Tiwari, IIS (Maharashtra, 2009) – Promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, New Delhi.
- Sidharth Babanrao Bodke, IIS (Maharashtra, 2009) – Promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, Mumbai.
- Mahesh Kumar, IIS (Maharashtra, 2009) – Promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, New Delhi.
- Nanda Kishore Reddy Mallangi, IIS (Andhra Pradesh, 2009) – Promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, New Delhi.
- Navneet Kaur, IIS (Maharashtra, 2010) – Promoted and posted as ADG, Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), New Delhi.
- Varun Bhardwaj, IIS (Maharashtra, 2010) – Promoted to the Senior Administrative Grade (SAG).
- J. Kamaraj, IIS (Tamil Nadu, 2009) – Promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, Chennai.
- Rashmi Roja Thushara Nair, IIS (Kerala, 2009) – Promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, New Delhi.
Leadership Strengthened Across Key Media Bodies
The latest elevation brings experienced IIS officers into senior administrative positions across the government’s principal communication and media-monitoring organisations.
The postings include leadership responsibilities at PIB’s headquarters and regional offices, the CBC and the EMMC, giving the officers a wider role in government communication, media coordination, publicity and monitoring.
The appointments also provide senior administrative leadership across multiple regional centres, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.
With officers from the 2009 and 2010 batches moving into SAG-level responsibilities, the order marks a significant strengthening of the senior management structure within the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
