Guna: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav laid the foundation stone for a large-scale Ambuja Cement plant in Guna district, marking a major step toward industrial transformation in the region.
The project, developed on 32 hectares, will have a production capacity of 4 million tonnes of cement annually and is expected to generate over 1,500 jobs.
₹1,189 Crore Development Boost for Guna Region
Along with the cement plant, the Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation for multiple development projects worth ₹1,189 crore in Guna.
These include:
- Industrial infrastructure projects
- Road and civic development works
- Regional connectivity improvements
- Public utility upgrades

Ambuja Cement Plant to Drive Industrial Growth
The Ambuja Cement plant, associated with the Adani Group, is expected to become a key industrial landmark in the region.

- Investment: ₹1,059 crore
- Production capacity: 4 million tonnes annually
- Employment: 1,500+ direct and indirect jobs
- Project area: 32 hectares
- Phase-1 completion target: 2028
Employment and Economic Transformation for Local Youth
The project is expected to significantly boost employment opportunities in Guna and nearby regions including Gwalior and Chambal.
Officials highlighted that:
- 500 direct jobs
- 1,000 indirect jobs
- Additional employment through allied industries
The project is also expected to strengthen the local economy and increase state revenue through GST contributions.
Farmers to Benefit from Land Acquisition Policy
CM Mohan Yadav announced a farmer-friendly policy stating that land acquired for development projects will be compensated at four times the market value, ensuring farmers become partners in development.
Guna River Revitalization Proposal
A proposal worth ₹80.22 crore has been sent to the Central Government for the rejuvenation of the Guniya River, aimed at flood control and ecological restoration.
Leaders Highlight Development Vision for MP
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia praised the project, stating that Madhya Pradesh is rapidly transforming under a development-focused governance model.
He also highlighted additional employment and industrial proposals in the region, including:
- Women employment initiatives in Badarwas
- Defence manufacturing investment plans
- Infrastructure expansion projects
