Bhopal: The Mohan Yadav led Madhya Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle ahead of Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav’s proposed visit to Dubai, transferring 11 IAS officers across key departments and assigning additional responsibilities to several senior bureaucrats.
The reshuffle includes officers serving at the Secretary and Additional Secretary levels and comes alongside a separate General Administration Department (GAD) order involving six State Administrative Service (SAS) officers, who have been posted to important district and Simhastha-related assignments.
One of the most significant changes is the removal of 2011-batch IAS officer Neha Marvya from her existing responsibilities as Director, Tribal Area Regional Development Schemes, and Managing Director, Panchayat Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation.
Ms Marvya has now been assigned charge as Managing Director, Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation.
Neha Marvya Removed From Existing Posts
IAS Marvya’s transfer comes days after allegations were raised regarding her conduct with women officers at the Additional Director level during a departmental meeting attended by other officials.
Following the alleged incident on August 14, departmental officials reportedly went on a pen-down strike. A complaint concerning the matter was also submitted to the Chief Secretary.
The government has now removed Ms Marvya from her earlier responsibilities and posted her as Managing Director of the Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation.
The move comes as part of the latest administrative changes announced by the state government.

Kumar Purushottam Gets Additional Industries Charge
2012 batch senior IAS officer Kumar Purushottam, currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and Managing Director of the State Agricultural Marketing Board, has been assigned additional responsibilities.
Ahead of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s Dubai visit, Mr Purushottam has been given additional charge as Commissioner, Industries, along with the responsibility of Managing Director, Small Industries Corporation.
The additional assignment places him at the helm of key industrial promotion and small-industry institutions at a time when the state is focusing on investment and business-related engagements.
Sheetla Patle Gets Additional Charge as Labour Commissioner
2014 batch IAS officer Sheetla Patle, Secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission, Indore, has also been given additional responsibility.
She will hold additional charge as Labour Commissioner, Indore, until further orders.
The assignment adds another important administrative responsibility to her existing role at the MP Public Service Commission.
Changes in Women and Child Development Department
The government has also made significant changes in the responsibilities of senior officers in the Women and Child Development Department.
Department Commissioner Nidhi Nivedita, an IAS officer of 2012 batch, has been given additional charge as Commissioner, Land Records.
She will continue with her existing responsibilities as OSD and City Revenue Commissioner, while also handling the additional Land Records assignment.
Meanwhile, 2013 batch IAS officer Sandeep GR, who was serving as OSD-cum-Labour Commissioner, has been given a new departmental responsibility.
He has been appointed OSD-cum-Commissioner, Women and Child Development and has also been given charge as Mission Director, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Child Health and Nutrition Mission.
The changes bring both administrative and programme-level responsibilities under the revised arrangements.
Anubha Srivastava Gets Revenue Secretary Charge
The government has also altered responsibilities in the Revenue Department.
2009 batch IAS officer Anubha Srivastava, who was serving as Principal Revenue Commissioner, has now been given charge as Secretary, Revenue Department.
The move places her in charge of the department’s secretariat-level administrative responsibilities while she moves from her existing role as Principal Revenue Commissioner.
Satendra Singh Gets Backward Classes Welfare Department Charge
Similarly, Satendra Singh, also an IAS officer of 2009 batch and Commissioner-cum-Director of the Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department, has been given charge as Secretary, Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department.
The latest assignment gives him responsibility at the Secretary level in the department alongside his existing administrative experience in the Backward Classes and Minority Welfare sector.
Six SAS Officers Also Transferred
Alongside the IAS reshuffle, the General Administration Department has issued a separate order transferring six State Administrative Service officers.
The officers have been posted to positions including Chief Executive Officers of district panchayats and Additional Mela Officers for Simhastha Ujjain.
The appointments assume significance as Madhya Pradesh prepares for the major Simhastha event in Ujjain, which requires extensive administrative coordination and field-level arrangements.
The latest orders therefore cover both the state’s senior administrative machinery and field-level assignments involving district panchayats and preparations related to Simhastha.
Reshuffle Ahead of Chief Minister’s Dubai Visit
The latest administrative changes come ahead of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s Dubai visit and involve several departments with significant responsibilities, including industries, revenue, labour, women and child development, tribal welfare and backward classes and minority welfare.
The government has also redistributed additional charges among senior officers while making substantive changes to the postings of several IAS officers.
With 11 IAS officers and six SAS officers moved under the latest orders, the reshuffle marks a significant administrative exercise in Madhya Pradesh, with changes spanning both policy-level departments and field administration.
