Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has described the state’s social security pension scheme as more than financial assistance, calling it a “transfer of trust” that reflects the government’s commitment to standing with the needy at all times.
The Chief Minister made the remarks while transferring over ₹200.71 crore directly into the bank accounts of more than 33.45 lakh beneficiaries through a single-click digital transfer from the state Secretariat in Bhopal.
₹200 Crore Pension Distributed to Over 33 Lakh Beneficiaries
Under the social security pension schemes, the state government released pensions for March (paid in April) to a total of 33,45,231 beneficiaries.
The total disbursement included:
- ₹200.71 crore transferred directly to bank accounts
- Monthly pension of ₹600 per beneficiary
The scheme covers elderly citizens, widows, abandoned women, unmarried women, and persons with disabilities.

Multiple Welfare Schemes Under Social Security Program
Officials informed that beneficiaries were covered under different pension categories, including:
- Mukhyamantri Kanya Abhivavak Pension Yojana: 62,594 beneficiaries
- Financial Assistance for Mentally Disabled & Multi-Disabled Persons: 77,120 beneficiaries
- General Social Security Pension Scheme (elderly, widows, abandoned, unmarried women, and disabled persons): 32,05,517 beneficiaries
These combined schemes ensure financial support to the most vulnerable sections of society.
Government Committed to Transparency and Timely Support
CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that the government’s objective is to ensure that assistance reaches the last person in the queue with dignity, transparency, and punctuality.
He said the pension is not just financial aid but also a means to provide self-respect and security to vulnerable citizens, enabling them to live with dignity.
Strong Focus on Social Welfare in State Budget
The Chief Minister highlighted that the state government has allocated ₹2,857 crore in the financial year 2026–27 budget for social security-related schemes.
He said this investment reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive development and strengthening the social safety net for weaker sections.
Governance Under PM Modi’s Guidance
CM Yadav stated that the state government is working in alignment with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure welfare benefits reach all eligible citizens.
He added that regular pension support is a key responsibility of the government and a crucial step toward empowering marginalized communities.
Virtual Participation from Across the State
The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha, senior officials, district collectors, and commissioners.
Beneficiaries from across the state also participated virtually through video conferencing.
