Eight Sessions to Shape MP Mobility Vision

The summit will feature eight sessions covering key issues linked to the future of passenger transport in the state.

Discussions will focus on MP Mobility Vision 2030, including the use of public-private partnerships in bus operations and Intelligent Transport Management Systems (ITMS). Participants will also discuss ways to attract private investment in bus terminals, multimodal hubs, electric mobility and other modern transport infrastructure.

Another session will examine strategies to make public bus operations financially sustainable by reducing dependence on passenger fares and increasing non-fare revenue through advertising, retail, logistics and naming rights.

Focus on Employment, Safety and AI

The summit will also explore how central government schemes can support employment and entrepreneurship in the passenger transport sector. Schemes including PM Mudra Yojana, PMEGP, Startup India, Stand-Up India, PM Skill Development Scheme, PM E-DRIVE, PM-eBus Sewa and the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan will be discussed.

Passenger safety and convenience will form another key area of discussion. Participants will examine the use of CCTV surveillance, emergency response systems, preventive maintenance, real-time passenger information, driver training and grievance redressal mechanisms.

Experts will also discuss AI-based analysis and real-time data for planning intra-city and inter-city bus routes, improving scheduling and rationalising transport services.

Green Mobility and Integrated Ticketing

Green mobility will be another major theme at the Passenger Transport Vision Summit 2026. Discussions will cover electric, hydrogen and flex-fuel buses, charging and refuelling infrastructure, green depots and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The summit will also explore integrated ticketing and automated fare collection to provide passengers with a smoother travel experience across the state. The discussions will include the National Common Mobility Card, open-loop payment systems and Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platforms.

Major Companies and Institutions to Participate

Several major companies are expected to participate in the summit, including EKA Mobility, Tata Motors, GreenCell Mobility, Volvo-Eicher Private Limited, Switch Mobility, Aero Eagle Automobile, Yash Technologies, Rapido, Chalo Mobility, Amnex Infotechnologies, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, SBI and Think Gas.

Experts from WRI India, BITS Pilani, CEPT Ahmedabad, KPMG and DIMTS, along with representatives of educational institutions, think tanks and consultancy agencies, will also share their experiences and recommendations.
