New Delhi: NLC India Limited, a Navratna public sector enterprise, has approved a USD 100 million unsecured External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) from Punjab National Bank to meet the capital expenditure requirements of its thermal, mining and diversification projects.
The decision was taken at the company’s Board Meeting held on September 5, 2026, along with key resolutions related to the final dividend for FY 2025-26 and the company’s upcoming 70th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
NLC India Approves USD 100 Million External Commercial Borrowing
The Board approved the borrowing of USD 100 million through an unsecured ECB from Punjab National Bank.
The funds will be utilised for capital expenditure requirements related to NLC India’s:
- Thermal projects
- Mining projects
- Diversification projects
The borrowing is part of the company’s efforts to support its ongoing and planned capital expenditure across its core and diversified business areas.

September 22 Fixed as Record Date for Final Dividend
The NLC India Board has fixed Tuesday, September 22, 2026, as the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders for the final dividend for FY 2025-26.
The final dividend will be subject to approval by shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting.
Book Closure from September 23 to September 29
NLC India also announced the closure of its corporate records ahead of the AGM and dividend-related processes.
The following records will remain closed from September 23 to September 29, 2026, both days inclusive:
- Register of Members
- Share Transfer Books
- Demat Records
- Register of Beneficiaries
The book closure period will coincide with preparations for the company’s 70th AGM.
NLC India to Hold 70th Annual General Meeting
The company’s 70th Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 3:00 PM.
The AGM will be conducted through Video Conferencing (VC) / Other Audio-Visual Means (OAVM) in accordance with applicable guidelines issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
