Bikaner: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), through its Barsingsar Thermal Power Project, has completed the construction of two modern public toilet blocks at the PBM Hospital campus in Bikaner, Rajasthan, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The facilities have been dedicated to public use with the objective of improving sanitation, hygiene and basic amenities for patients and their attendants visiting the hospital.
Two Public Toilet Blocks Handed Over to Hospital
The two newly constructed toilet blocks were formally handed over to the hospital administration during a simple ceremony.
The facilities include:
- A toilet block constructed at OPD No. 16, handed over to Dr. B. C. Ghiya, Superintendent, PBM Hospital.
- A toilet block constructed at the Super Speciality Block (SSB), handed over to Dr. Sanjeev Buri, Superintendent, Super Speciality Hospital.
The handover ceremony was held in the presence of Dr. Surendra Verma, Principal, S.P. Medical College, Bikaner.

NLCIL Barsingsar Project Leads CSR Initiative
S. Vijay Kumar, Project Head, NLCIL Barsingsar Project, handed over the newly developed public facilities to the hospital administration in the presence of officials from the HR, CSR and OHC departments.
Senior doctors and employees of PBM Hospital also attended the programme.
The initiative is aimed at addressing the need for better public sanitation facilities within the hospital premises, particularly for the large number of patients and attendants who visit the facility.
New Facilities to Benefit Patients and Attendants
Hospital authorities, doctors and the Principal of S.P. Medical College appreciated NLCIL’s initiative in the healthcare and public welfare sector.
They highlighted that the new toilet facilities would provide significant relief to patients and their family members arriving from distant areas.
The facilities are expected to improve convenience and contribute towards maintaining better hygiene within the hospital premises.

The CSR initiative reflects NLCIL Barsingsar’s focus on supporting essential public facilities and contributing to community welfare.
Hospital authorities described the project as a valuable contribution towards cleanliness, public health and social development in the region.
