Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) was honoured with five Kalinga Safety Excellence Awards for the Assessment Year 2024 at the 16th National Safety Conclave 2025, reinforcing the corporation’s commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence. The awards were presented by Surama Padhy, Hon’ble Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly and MLA of Ranpur, at a ceremony organised by the Institute of Quality and Environment Management Services (IQEMS) in Bhubaneswar.

OMC’s mining units excelled across multiple categories:

  • Platinum Award: Roida C Iron & Manganese Mines and Kodingamali Bauxite Mines
  • Gold Award: Guali Iron Ore Mines, Tiringpahar Iron Ore Mines, and Ampavalli Limestone Mines

These awards highlight the corporation’s consistent efforts in enhancing safety standards and fostering a prevention-focused safety culture across all its operations.
