New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Pushpam Kumar for the post of Director (Personnel) at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), a Schedule A Central Public Sector Enterprise.
The recommendation was made during PESB Meeting, held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
Pushpam Kumar is currently serving as Senior General Manager at the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO). He was among seven candidates interviewed by PESB for the senior-level position at RINL.
Pushpam Kumar Recommended for RINL Director (Personnel) Post
Following the selection process, PESB recommended Pushpam Kumar for the position of Director (Personnel) at RINL.
His current position and selection details are:

Seven Candidates Interviewed for RINL Post
A total of seven candidates appeared before PESB for consideration for the Director (Personnel) position at RINL.
The candidates interviewed were:
- Rahul Jayanti – Deputy General Manager (Town Administration) Incharge, RINL
- Dr. (Mrs.) Radhika Dasari – Dy. GM (HR), Incharge Plant HR, RINL
- Muin Hanifa Sultana – Deputy General Manager (HR), Corporate Establishment, RINL
- Mohammad Yusuf Hussain – General Manager (Human Resource), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)
- Pushpam Kumar – Senior General Manager, India Trade Promotion Organisation
- Somu – General Manager (HRD), Madras Fertilizers Limited
- Rajender Prasad Maurya – General Manager (HR), NHPC Limited
After considering the candidates, PESB recommended Pushpam Kumar for the post.
Appointment Subject to Further Approvals
The PESB recommendation does not by itself constitute the final appointment.
Pushpam Kumar’s appointment as Director (Personnel) at RINL will be subject to further clearances and approvals in accordance with the established procedure for Board-level appointments in Central Public Sector Enterprises.
The final appointment will therefore follow the applicable government approval process.
