New Delhi: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has contributed ₹1 crore to the Bihar Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support flood-affected families and assist the state’s ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts.
PNB Managing Director and CEO Ashok Chandra handed over the cheque to Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. The contribution is aimed at supporting people affected by the recent floods across the state.
PNB Supports Flood-Affected Families in Bihar
The ₹1 crore contribution will be used to assist flood-affected families in Bihar, with the funds supporting both immediate relief and longer-term rehabilitation.
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary expressed gratitude to PNB for the contribution and said the amount would be used to provide assistance to people in need.
The contribution comes as several parts of Bihar continue to deal with the impact of recent flooding, including damage to homes, crops and local infrastructure.

PNB Leadership Hands Over Relief Fund Cheque
The cheque was presented by PNB MD and CEO Ashok Chandra to Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.
Other PNB officials present on the occasion included:
- Lakshmikant Mishra, Zonal Head, Bihar
- Yuvraj Singh Rathore, Circle Head, Patna
- Ramesh Kumar, an officer associated with the Zonal Head
The bank said the contribution reflects its continued support for communities affected by natural disasters.
Funds to Support Relief and Rehabilitation Efforts
The contribution is expected to help the Bihar administration extend assistance to families impacted by the floods.
The funds can support relief measures as well as rehabilitation efforts for affected communities as they recover from flood-related damage.
PNB has also extended financial support for relief and rehabilitation measures during natural disasters in different parts of the country as part of its community-focused initiatives.
