PNB Partners with UP Government to Provide Insurance and Cashless Medical Benefits to 1.25 Lakh Employees

Lucknow: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh, to provide enhanced financial and social security benefits to university and college employees across the state.

The agreement was signed in Agra in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Under this partnership, around 1.25 lakh employees working in universities and colleges across Uttar Pradesh will receive benefits including insurance coverage and cashless medical facilities.

The initiative aims to improve financial protection and healthcare accessibility for employees associated with the higher education sector.

PNB and Uttar Pradesh Government Sign MoU for Higher Education Employees

Punjab National Bank and the Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Department entered into the agreement to strengthen support systems for employees of universities and colleges.

The partnership will provide various banking and social security benefits to eligible employees.

Key highlights of the MoU:

  • Around 1.25 lakh university and college employees to be covered
  • Insurance protection for employees
  • Cashless medical facilities
  • Enhanced banking support
  • Improved social security benefits

The initiative is expected to provide greater financial stability and easier access to healthcare services for employees and their families.

Cashless Medical Facilities and Insurance Support for Staff

Under the agreement, employees covered under the programme will receive access to insurance benefits and cashless healthcare facilities.

The cashless medical facility will help employees receive treatment without the immediate burden of arranging funds at hospitals.

PNB Officials Present During MoU Signing in Agra

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by senior officials of Punjab National Bank from different zones of Uttar Pradesh.

PNB representatives present included:

  • Anju Mittal – Agra Zone
  • Mr. Deepak Singh – Varanasi Zone
  • Mr. Pankaj Anand – Lucknow Zone
  • Mr. Ajay Kumar Tiberwal – Meerut Zone

Their presence highlighted PNB’s commitment towards expanding financial services and welfare initiatives in Uttar Pradesh.

Partnership Aims to Support Education Sector Employees

Punjab National Bank said that the collaboration will contribute towards the welfare of employees associated with universities and colleges in Uttar Pradesh.

The initiative is expected to strengthen social security measures for education sector employees by combining banking services with healthcare and insurance support.

PNB stated that it remains committed to working with the Uttar Pradesh government for the progress and welfare of citizens, especially those contributing to the state’s education system.
