Bengaluru: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, reporting strong growth in revenue and profitability.

The company’s Board of Directors approved the results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, showing a strong beginning to FY27. BEL’s revenue from operations increased by 25.27% year-on-year, while its Profit After Tax (PAT) grew by 8.17%.

The company also maintained a strong order book position of ₹72,258 crore as of July 1, 2026, providing significant revenue visibility for the coming quarters.

BEL Q1 FY27 Revenue Increases 25% to ₹5,533 Crore

Bharat Electronics Limited recorded Revenue from Operations of ₹5,533.06 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹4,416.83 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26.

The strong revenue growth reflects improved execution of defence projects and continued demand for electronic systems and solutions in the defence sector.

  • Revenue from Operations (Q1 FY27): ₹5,533.06 crore
  • Revenue from Operations (Q1 FY26): ₹4,416.83 crore

BEL Profit After Tax Rises 8% to ₹1,048 Crore

BEL reported steady growth in profitability during the first quarter of FY27.

Key profitability figures:

  • Profit Before Tax (PBT): ₹1,402.83 crore
    • Increased by 8.81% compared to ₹1,289.24 crore in Q1 FY26
  • Profit After Tax (PAT): ₹1,048.33 crore
    • Increased by 8.17% compared to ₹969.13 crore in Q1 FY26
  • Earnings Per Share (EPS): ₹1.43
    • Compared to ₹1.33 in Q1 FY26, showing a growth of 7.52%

BEL Order Book Stands at ₹72,258 Crore

BEL maintained a strong order pipeline with its order book reaching ₹72,258 crore as on July 1, 2026.

The healthy order position is expected to provide strong revenue visibility in upcoming quarters and support the company’s future growth.

BEL continues to benefit from rising demand in defence electronics and India’s focus on strengthening domestic defence manufacturing capabilities.

  • Revenue from Operations: ₹5,533.06 crore, up 25.27% from ₹4,416.83 crore in Q1 FY26
  • Total Income: ₹5,700.45 crore, up 24.45% from ₹4,580.45 crore
  • Total Expenses: ₹4,297.62 crore, up 30.58% from ₹3,291.21 crore
  • Profit Before Tax: ₹1,402.83 crore, up 8.81% from ₹1,289.24 crore
  • Tax Expense: ₹354.50 crore, up 10.74% from ₹320.11 crore
  • Net Profit: ₹1,048.33 crore, up 8.17% from ₹969.13 crore
  • EPS (Basic & Diluted): ₹1.43, up 7.52% from ₹1.33

BEL Consolidated Financial Performance Shows Positive Growth

The consolidated financial results of BEL also reflected strong performance during Q1 FY27.

  • Revenue from Operations: ₹5,546.98 crore, up 24.94% YoY
  • Total Income: ₹5,716.54 crore, up 24.19% YoY
  • Total Expenses: ₹4,320.29 crore, up 30% YoY
  • Profit Before Tax: ₹1,396.25 crore, up 9.14% YoY
  • Share of Associates: ₹10.63 crore, up 26.85% YoY
  • Net Profit: ₹1,054.53 crore, up 8.82% YoY
  • EPS: ₹1.44, up 8.27% YoY

BEL Announces Dividend and Capital Expansion Plan

The company announced key decisions related to shareholder returns and capital structure.

Dividend details:

  • Final dividend recommended for FY25-26: 55% (₹0.55 per share)
  • Interim dividend announced earlier: 195% (₹1.95 per share)

BEL’s Board also approved a proposal to increase the company’s authorised share capital from ₹750 crore to ₹1,000 crore, subject to shareholder approval.

BEL’s consolidated financial results include contributions from its subsidiaries and associate companies.

Subsidiaries:

  • BEL Optronic Devices Ltd – 100% shareholding
  • BEL-Thales Systems Ltd – 74% shareholding

Associate Companies:

  • GE BE Pvt Ltd – 26% shareholding
  • BEL IAI Aerosystems Pvt Ltd – 40% shareholding

Defence Electronics Demand Supports BEL Growth

BEL management stated that the company’s strong revenue growth was driven by effective execution of its order book and healthy demand in the defence electronics sector.

The 25% growth in revenue highlights BEL’s continued leadership in defence manufacturing and its ability to benefit from India’s defence indigenisation initiatives.

With a strong order book and growing opportunities in defence technology, BEL is expected to maintain its growth momentum in the coming quarters.
