Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Inaugurates Astroturf at Sant Avtar Singh Memorial Hockey Stadium in Sichewal

On the 38th death anniversary of Sant Baba Avtar Singh Ji, CM Mann pays tribute and launches upgraded hockey infrastructure to promote sports and youth development in Punjab.

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated a newly installed astroturf at the Sant Avtar Singh Memorial Hockey Stadium in village Sichewal during a visit marking the 38th death anniversary of Sant Baba Avtar Singh Ji.

The Chief Minister paid homage to Sant Baba Avtar Singh Ji and participated in commemorative events held in the village.

Tribute to Sant Baba Avtar Singh Ji on Death Anniversary

On the occasion, CM Mann offered his respects and highlighted the contributions of Sant Baba Avtar Singh Ji towards environmental conservation and community service.

He appreciated the ongoing efforts of social and religious leaders in promoting sustainability and public welfare in Punjab.

Astroturf Inaugurated at Hockey Stadium in Sichewal

During the visit, CM Mann, along with Rajya Sabha member Balbir Singh Seechewal, inaugurated the new astroturf at the Sant Avtar Singh Memorial Hockey Stadium.

The upgraded facility is expected to:

  • Encourage young athletes to take up hockey
