Focus on Women Empowerment and Skill Development

Speaking about the initiative, Minister Baljit Kaur emphasized the government’s strong commitment to improving the quality of life for women, children, and senior citizens.

She stated that the Punjab Government places high priority on empowering women through practical skill-building programmes that directly improve their employment prospects.

The Job Skill Camps are designed to provide:

  • Essential job-oriented skills
  • Career development training
  • Entrepreneurship guidance
  • Job placement assistance

Boosting Employment and Entrepreneurship Opportunities for Women

The initiative aims to bridge the skill gap and create more employment opportunities for women across Punjab. By equipping participants with industry-relevant skills and knowledge, the camps will also encourage women to explore self-employment and entrepreneurial ventures.

The Punjab Government’s initiative reflects a broader vision of inclusive development, ensuring greater workforce participation for women and improved economic independence.

With structured training and institutional support, the Job Skill Camps are expected to play a key role in strengthening Punjab’s skilled workforce and promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities across the state.
