MPLS and P2P Connectivity to Support SBI’s Banking Network
The order includes two types of connectivity services that support communication and data transmission across SBI’s nationwide banking infrastructure.
Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) is a networking technology that directs data traffic across connected locations using predefined paths. It can help organisations manage network traffic and connect multiple offices and facilities through a common network infrastructure.
Point-to-Point (P2P) connectivity provides a dedicated connection between two designated endpoints. Such links can support communication between specific locations, depending on the network configuration and service requirements.
Together, these services cover SBI’s data centre and disaster recovery infrastructure, branches and other designated locations across India. The disclosure does not provide a detailed breakdown of the contract value by location or connectivity service.
