Mumbai: RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured a domestic work order worth ₹15.78 crore from Munitions India Limited for upgrading MPLS bandwidth under the COMNET 2.0 network infrastructure. The project aims to strengthen secure and high-speed communication across multiple defence production units.
The company disclosed the development under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
MPLS Bandwidth Upgrade for COMNET 2.0 Network
The contract involves the upgradation of MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) bandwidth within the existing COMNET 2.0 system.
The project will cover:
- 45 units across defence establishments
- 7 Defence Public Sector Units (DPSUs)
- Department of Defence (DoO) locations in New Delhi
The upgrade is expected to enhance network capacity, improve data transfer speed, and ensure secure communication across critical defence infrastructure.

The total value of the contract is:
- ₹15,77,99,597 (approximately ₹15.78 crore, inclusive of taxes)

The project will be implemented over a defined timeline to ensure seamless integration with existing network systems.

RailTel confirmed that neither its promoter nor promoter group entities have any interest in Munitions India Limited.
The company also clarified that the contract does not fall under related party transactions, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
