New Delhi: State-owned engineering consultancy and transport infrastructure company RITES Ltd has secured a consultancy contract worth approximately ₹79.22 crore (excluding GST) in consortium from Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL) for the implementation of the Patna Metro Rail Construction Project.
The company disclosed the development through a regulatory filing with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
RITES Bags ₹79.22 Crore Consultancy Contract for Patna Metro
The newly awarded contract involves providing consultancy services for the implementation of the Patna Metro Rail Construction Project, one of Bihar’s most significant urban infrastructure initiatives aimed at enhancing public transportation and reducing traffic congestion in the state capital.
According to the company’s filing, RITES’ share of the consortium contract is approximately ₹79.22 crore, excluding Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The consultancy assignment is scheduled to be completed over a 68-month execution period.

Contract Awarded by Patna Metro Rail Corporation
The consultancy order has been awarded by Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL), making it a domestic infrastructure consultancy project.
RITES clarified that the contract does not involve any related-party transaction. The company also confirmed that its promoters and promoter group entities have no interest in the awarding authority, ensuring compliance with corporate governance norms.
Consultancy Scope Covers Patna Metro Implementation
Under the contract, RITES will provide consultancy services related to the implementation of the Patna Metro Rail Construction Project.
